• SEALCOATING

Sealcoat is a material that is applied on top of asphalt. It is a liquid, and helps to protect pavement from different types of damage, such as cracking due to cold weather, wear due to UV rays from the sun, general use from traffic, and oxidization. It will also prevent pavement from becoming rough or drying out too quickly. Oil and gasoline react with asphalt, and sealcoat creates a sort of barrier between the two to keep them separated. When getting a new layer of sealcoat, not only will your asphalt be protected from the elements, but sealcoating will also provide a fresh and like-new appearance.

When you keep up with regular applications of sealcoat, your asphalt can last significantly longer - up to 30 years. Each application will extend the life of your pavement. Sealcoating can end up saving you money by cutting down on the amount of repairs you'll have in the future, so taking the time to properly maintain your asphalt with sealcoating is more cost-effective in the long run. 

Sealcoating will not repair damage that is already done to pavement, but is preventative maintenance that will reduce the severity of damage to your asphalt in the future.
